These problems span from preschool through graduate school and beyond.  Engaging in research allows faculty to explore new territories and examine issues that others have not uncovered.  As a result of our research work, School of Education (SOE) faculty research:

  • Creates new ideas for teachers, schools, the public at large
  • Influences theory and improves practice
  • Fosters critical dialogue among faculty and students, allowing them to grapple with new challenging ideas
  • Serves as an important component to both our undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Education
  • Allows us to take part in and inform national and global debates on educational issues and policy
  • Contributes to the solution of problems in the increasingly diverse global economy
